The Waikato District Council manages the Waikato’s resources and implements plans to meet the present and future needs of the Waikato district.
Waikato District Council has offices in Ngaruawahia, Raglan, and Huntly. The Waikato District Mayor and Councillors are elected every three years in local authority elections. The Council has seven Standing Committees, four Community Boards and two Community Committees.
