The council meets regularly to discuss and make policies regarding the Waikato district, the performance of the chief executive, contracts, committee structure, committee memberships and delegations.
The Waikato District Council meeting is held on the fourth Tuesday of each month with the exception of January. Meetings are scheduled to begin at 1.00pm.
The Waikato District Council endorses recommendations made at committee meetings, and in addition makes decisions on matters that are not delegated to committees.
