Rob Wheeler

 Property officer

I have been working in my role as property officer since November 2010, having transfered from the former Franklin District Council when the Auckland Supercity was established.

I had spent the previous 21 years working with Franklin, Auckland and Manukau councils in a variety of property related positions and prior to this worked in legal offices both in Napier and New Plymouth as a legal executive.

I have a broad range of experience in the field of local government property management including roles in sales and acquisitions, lease management, legal issues, contract management, asset management, recreation, facility management and project management.

As a property officer I am involved in managing leases, licences and residential tenancies, unformed roads, road stopping procedures, property sales and acquisitions (including subdivisions of council land) and a varierty of activites related to the Reserves Act 1977.

It is great to be part of the excellent team here and be in a position where I am able to provide a service to the people and organisations in our community.
