I have worked at Waikato District Council since February 2006 in a variety of roles in the customer delivery team.
My role within this team is customer facing and involves dealing with all customers, ratepayers and visitors who come into the council. We greet all customers and help them with various enquiries from animal control issues through to queries regarding rates and community events.
I have recently been promoted to the role of customer delivery team leader where I oversee the day to day operation of the Ngaruwahia customer delivery team including the Ngaruawahia library. This is a challenging role where I have a large team of staff assisting visitors with their queries.
One of the best things about working here is the people. There is a real family feeling amongst my colleagues and Waikato District Council are very supportive employers. We have a lot of fun and there is heaps of laughter.
