Rating Review
Waikato District Council is currently undertaking consultation on its rating review.
The amalgamation of the southern part of Franklin district into the Waikato requires a new basis for rating be determined that will apply across our consolidated district. The review has been done to determine the most equitable and appropriate basis for rating our new district going forward.
Some of the key factors influencing the review are:

• The triennial district revaluation for Waikato
• Two year revaluation of former Franklin district properties to put all properties in the enlarged district on the same base year
