Winners of Ngaruawahia Garden Competition Announced
Twenty three people won prizes in the Ngaruawahia Best Garden Competition for 2009.
With a record number of first time entrants, competition was strong within the seven garden categories.
Lianne van den Bemd from Twin Rivers Arts Centre, one of the Best Garden Competition judges, said she was very impressed with the variety of gardens that were entered this year.
“First time entrants made up forty percent of the gardens this year. It was fantastic to see new ideas, and such variety among the gardens. The standard was very high.”
The Best Garden Competition is an annual event sponsored by the Ngaruawahia Community Board and the Waikato District Council. Congratulations to all the 2009 Winners.
