Waikato District Plan

At its meeting held on 28 June 2011 the Waikato District Council resolved, pursuant to Clause 17(2) of Schedule 1 of the Resource Management Act 1991, to approve and make operative those parts of the Proposed District Plan no longer subject to appeal.

Most appeals remaining unresolved are now in the final stages of settlement, and it is hoped that those remaining can be resolved by the end of 2011. There are no district- wide appeals remaining. The remaining appeals are either location specific or topic specific.

To assist the reader in identifying the operative and non operative parts in the Plan a schedule is included listing the plan provisions that are not yet operative, together with an amendment to the schedule showing further provisions that have been approved by the Environment Court since going to print.

The text in the plan showing provisions that are not operative is shaded light blue in the body of the Plan.
